Alan Lushnikov, President of Kalashnikov Concern JSC, said that after being used as part of the SVO in Ukraine, the AK-12 assault rifle was finalized.
According to him, at the moment, several meetings have been held on the operation of machine guns, at which it was proposed to exclude the two-shot cut-off mode, as well as to provide for the possibility of installing an adjustable butt cheek and two-way control of fire modes.
“Our response was very prompt. We selected technical solutions in the shortest possible time, created a prototype and presented it to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. The changes were approved and are now being introduced into the design documentation of the machine,” Lushnikov added.
