The training center for the training of junior specialists of the Airborne Forces (VDV) trained more than 10 thousand people from 62 regions in 2022. After passing the exams, “conscripted personnel left for the troops to serve,” the mobilized went to the zone of military operation, TASS reports with reference to the press service of the department.
The term of training for conscripted military personnel is 3.5 months, mobilized, taking into account their qualifications, up to two months. It is noted that during the partial mobilization, military personnel were trained, who joined the ranks of the parachute, air assault units and communications units.
Training takes place on armored vehicles BMD-4M and BTR-MDM “Rakushka”. Exercises are performed using AK-74M, AK-12, PKM and Pecheneg machine guns, RPG-7D and AGS-30 grenade launchers. Standards are being worked out for packing landing parachutes, putting on a parachute and equipment, and the actions of a parachutist in the air. As part of the training, jumps are performed from the An-2 from a height of 800 meters.
