Testing of the British Challenger 3 battle tank began in Germany
The first pre-production main battle tank of the Challenger 3 tank was sent from the UK to Germany for testing. This was reported by the UK Defense Journal.
It is reported that the tests will take place in operational conditions, within which the characteristics of the combat vehicle will be checked and, if necessary, modifications will be made before 140 tanks enter service with the British Army.
The Challenger 3 platform is said to be equipped with the new 120mm L55A1 smoothbore gun. New generation modular armor, a fully digitized turret and the integration of the Trophy Medium Variant APS on the platform will protect against rocket-propelled grenades and anti-tank missiles.
Deputy project manager Nick Burcham said the tank was designed with crew safety and military advice in mind at every stage.
It was previously known that fifth-generation fighter Kaan took off for the first time in Turkey. According to local media, the flight was successful.
