Germany detains seven Islamists who planned to stage a terrorist attack
In Germany, the police detained seven Islamists from Central Asia who were planning to stage a terrorist attack. This was reported by the Prosecutor General’s Office of Germany.
It is noted that among the detainees are five citizens of Tajikistan, one citizen of Turkmenistan and one citizen of Kyrgyzstan. All of them came to Germany in the spring of 2022 from the territory of Ukraine.
They were detained in the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia in western Germany.
The suspects maintained contacts with representatives of ISIS (a terrorist organization banned in the Russian Federation). At the same time, it turned out that the Islamists did not currently have a specific plan for committing illegal acts.
