Telegram users around the world are reporting a malfunction of the messenger, according to the DownRadar website. According to the service Brand Analytics, by 13:00 Moscow time more than 500 residents of Russia reported failures. Users cannot send or receive messages, and the application itself is in the “connecting” status.

Around 14:00 Moscow time, Telegram began to recover. In total, according to monitoring systems, over 7 thousand complaints were recorded.

“At approximately 12:35 Moscow time, Telegram stopped working in some regions of Russia, mainly Western and Siberia. The problem is observed among both providers and mobile operators. You can only log in through a VPN,” says the message in the messenger information channel.

According to Brand Analitics, 34% of complaints about Telegram’s work came from Moscow, 15% from St. Petersburg, 4% each from the Moscow and Samara regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory. Users reported crashes in both the mobile app and the web version.

Brand Analitics data also shows failures in the operation of the YouTube video hosting service (232 complaints), the VKontakte social network (130 complaints), WhatsApp messengers (91 complaints) and Viber (63 complaints). Users are also experiencing problems with mobile operators, including MTS, Beeline, Megafon, Tele2 and Yota, as well as the provider Rostelecom.

The press services of Tele2, Megafon and Beeline told RIA Novosti that their networks are operating normally, and problems in the operation of third-party applications and instant messengers are “on the side of these services.”
