The management of the Telegram messenger denies concluding any partnership agreements with Russian companies, including MTS. Representatives of the messenger informed the channel about this “Durov Code”. On October 17, Forbes, citing an official statement from MTS, reported that the operator had agreed to target Russian advertising in the messenger by phone number.
“Contrary to erroneous reports from Russian newspapers, Telegram has not entered into partnerships and does not have agreements with any Russian companies, including MTS,” the Telegram channel quotes the messenger’s press service.
Forbes wrotethat MTS planned to launch advertising in Telegram targeting phone numbers that are used when registering in the messenger. According to Forbes, according to the agreement of the companies, MTS could use the logo and naming of the messenger for advertising purposes, as well as increase its advertising revenue for the year by 7-10 billion rubles.
