Ambassador of Ukraine to Kazakhstan Petr Vrublevsky left the republic at the request of the Kazakh authorities. About it informs TASS, citing a source familiar with the situation.
“He took off on the morning flight of the Polish airline to Warsaw,” the source said.
At the same time, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan did not confirm to TASS the information about the “expulsion” of the ambassador from the country. The department said that Vrublevsky is on vacation.
On August 23, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan summoned the Ukrainian ambassador because of his words about the murder of Russians. In an interview with Kazakhstani blogger Dias Kuzairov, Vrublevsky stated that Ukraine is “trying to kill as many Russians as possible.” The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, drew attention to the diplomat’s statement. In her Telegram channel, she noted that “only the ambassador of a terrorist regime can say such things.”
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan protested to Vrublevsky, and also declared “the unacceptability and incompatibility of such statements with the activities of the ambassador.” The head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the investigators to evaluate the statements of the diplomat.
Vrublevsky later apologized to the Kazakh Foreign Ministry for his remarks about the Russians.
