The Russian Armed Forces received the first ten modified attack helicopters Ka-52M, informs TASS, citing a source in the defense industry.
“The first Ka-52Ms have already been handed over to the Russian troops,” he said.
According to the agency, deliveries of these helicopters will continue this year.
The Ka-52M is a modified version of the Ka-52 Alligator helicopter, equipped with an improved airborne defense system, a gyro-stabilized optoelectronic system with an increased target detection and recognition range, a system for more accurate firing from a cannon, as well as equipment for joint work with UAVs and other helicopters.
In August, at the Army-2022 international military-technical forum, the Russian Ministry of Defense signed 29 government contracts with 26 enterprises worth more than 500 billion, including with the Russian Helicopters holding (part of the Rostec Group of Companies) for the supply of Ka-52M and Mi-28NM helicopters.
