“The President of Turkmenistan has accepted the invitation, his arrival is expected by morning,” the agency’s interlocutor said.

Presidents of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan will arrive in Moscow to participate in the events on May 9.

On May 9, the Victory Parade will take place on Red Square in Moscow. According to Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, 11,000 people will take part in the parade, including participants in the military operation in Ukraine, 131 weapons, and 77 aircraft.

The start of the parade is scheduled for 10:00 Moscow time. Russian President Vladimir Putin will attend and deliver a speech. Fireworks are also planned in Moscow.

In 2022, there was not a single foreign leader at the Victory Day parade, which took place 2.5 months after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. The Kremlin explained that at that time it was decided not to invite guests, since the date of the celebration is not an anniversary.
