Talents and accomplices // Deputies intensify the fight against foreign agents and those who help them
[ad_1]
A group of deputies from the Duma Commission on Combating Foreign Interference, headed by its chairman Vasily Piskarev (United Russia), on Wednesday introduced a package of amendments to the State Duma regarding the activities of foreign agents. This time, not only the agents themselves, but also citizens and organizations assisting them in circumventing the prohibitions provided for by law, came into the field of view of the legislators. The deputies also proposed to allow only those foreign non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that have officially registered their Russian divisions with the Ministry of Justice to work in the Russian Federation. All other foreign NGOs, in fact, will be outside the law, and any interaction with them “may lead to negative consequences,” the lawyer warns.
