TAC: US made some unforgivable mistakes towards Russia

Former adviser on Russian-American relations at the US State Department, James Carden, in an interview with The American Conservative said that Washington made several serious mistakes in relation to Russia, which later led to the events in Ukraine.
He clarified that these miscalculations by the Old House led to a significant deterioration in relations between Washington and Moscow.
“At present, the United States has no greater problem in foreign policy than the situation in Ukraine. At the same time, the White House representatives have a simple narrative: there would be no conflict if it were not for Putin the aggressor,” Cardin added.
According to him, the real reason is the four mistakes that Washington made in the post-Soviet era. The first is support for Kyiv’s “anti-terrorist” campaign against Russian-speaking citizens, the second is the erection of corrupt Ukrainian oligarchs, the third is the interests of nationalist factions, and the fourth is ignoring Russia’s protests against NATO expansion.
