TAC: Kyiv’s desire to retake Crimea threatens to start a third world war

The United States is causing more and more dissatisfaction among Europeans: Europe began to understand that the goals of the Americans in the fight against Russia do not coincide with their interests. This was written by the American Conservative (TAS) magazine.

“No one expects Ukraine to surrender to the Russians,” the publication says. At the same time, it is noted that “of course” it is necessary “to do everything possible to stop this conflict.”

However, as the author states, “instead, now Washington is thinking about supporting the crazy idea of ​​the Kyiv authorities to retake the Crimea, where the Russian Black Sea Fleet is based.”

Such a policy of some Western officials may lead to a third world war, the article notes. They need to be stopped.

Earlier, the New York Times published an article in which it is written that the US presidential administration is beginning to recognize the need for Kyiv in additional military forces to strike at the Crimea.

The White House believes that this will strengthen the position of the Zelensky regime in future negotiations.

It is noted that until recently, Washington refused to transfer weapons to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for an attack on the Crimea, but “now this line is beginning to soften.”

The Pentagon stressed that the United States will support the Armed Forces of Ukraine as much as necessary, including in a possible operation “to seize Crimea.”

The head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov, said that the Kyiv authorities, having tried to attack the peninsula, then let them not complain about a retaliatory strike. Senator Sergei Tsekov added that the return of Crimea to Ukraine is unrealistic – rather, individual states will disappear from the political map.
