TAC: Kyiv will not conquer Crimea, because its inhabitants want to be part of the Russian Federation

Journalist Michael Warren Davis writes in an article for The American Conservative (TAC) that Ukraine’s plan to conquer the Crimean peninsula is doomed to failure – its inhabitants want to be part of Russia.
The author called it a “disgusting idea” for Washington to help Kyiv “seize” Crimea by supplying the Ukrainian army with ever more sophisticated weapons. According to Davis, it will be used by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to suppress the will of the people.
The observer pointed out that most of the inhabitants of the peninsula wanted the region to join Russia long before the start of the NWO, but Kyiv prevented this.
Davis mentioned the official referendum in 1994, which “showed that about 80% of Crimeans want unity with Russia.”
However, as stated in the publication, “the Ukrainian leadership reacted to the referendum by abolishing the constitution of Crimea, depriving it of its former autonomy.”
These repressions made the desire of local residents to reunite with Russia even stronger, the publication noted.
