Switzerland has joined the tenth package of EU sanctions against Russia, follows from the statement of the Federal Council of the country.
“In addition to adapting the provisions regarding mandatory reporting in the financial sector, these measures include a ban on Russian citizens from exercising functions in the management bodies of owners or operators of critical infrastructure facilities and provide for tightening in the property sector,” the statement says.
We are talking, in particular, about new control measures and restrictions on the export of various dual-use goods in the military-technical and security spheres, in the aviation and space industries.
Against the backdrop of the start of Russia’s special operation in Ukraine, the EU has already adopted ten packages of sanctions against the Russian Federation. The last one was introduced on 25 February. It included restrictions for 87 individuals and 34 legal entities.
Among the individuals on the latest sanctions list are Chairman of the Human Rights Council (HRC) under the President of the Russian Federation Valery Fadeev and other members of the HRC, human rights commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, doctor Leonid Roshal, head of Rossotrudnichestvo Evgeny Primakov, executive director of the Russia media group Today, Kirill Vyshinsky and others. The tenth package also introduces a ban on the export to Russia of not yet banned heavy vehicles and their spare parts, semi-trailers and special vehicles (such as snowmobiles), power generators, binoculars, radars, compasses, construction products.
