Swedish PM Kristersson: Turkey wants too much for approving NATO bid
[ad_1]
Turkey put too harsh conditions on Sweden in exchange for ratifying Stockholm’s application to NATO. This was stated by Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson.
“Turkey confirms that we have done what we promised to do, but they also say they want what we cannot or do not want to give them,” Reuters quoted him as saying.
Recall, Turkey has expanded the list of persons whom it requires to be extradited from Sweden. Now there are 42 people on the list, most of them are associated with Kurdish organizations.
Finnish Foreign Minister Pekka Haavisto previously stated that his country is not going to join NATO before Sweden.
