According to the publication, the Swedish Prosecutor General’s Office sent a statement to the Supreme Court about the impossibility of extraditing two citizens of the country. Earlier, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said that Sweden, along with Finland, did not fulfill the conditions for joining NATO.
Ankara refuses Sweden and Finland to join NATO, accusing them of complicity with terrorists. In June, the countries signed a memorandum with Ankara, which spelled out the conditions for their entry into the alliance.
In addition to Turkey, the entry of Sweden and Finland into NATO has not been ratified by Hungary. The remaining 28 members of the alliance approved the application of the two countries.
