Sweden called on Europe to prepare for a long conflict with Russia

Swedish Foreign Minister Tobias Billström called on European residents to realize that NATO and the EU “face a long conflict with Russia.”
As he noted in an interview with the Deutsche Welle media group (DW, recognized as a foreign agent media in the Russian Federation), it is necessary to prepare for this accordingly.
“This concerns primarily the Baltic countries and Poland,” Billström added.
In this regard, the minister recalled Stockholm’s plans to send part of a mechanized battalion to Latvia and strengthen its naval forces in the area of Gotland and the Baltic Sea.
Billström added that Sweden has already begun air patrols in the region and is using submarines.
