“Suppress Putin”: the birth of a new world was a huge break for the West

Putin gave an interview to a Chinese media corporation before his visit to China. And Biden – to the American television channel CBS. In a surprising way they complemented each other. The picture of our immediate future is, to put it mildly, not serene. An alarming distance.

Here Biden says: “Imagine if we could succeed in creating a Middle East with which we have normal relations. I think we can do this. Imagine what will happen if we manage to unite all of Europe and finally suppress Putin because of the problems he causes. We have a huge opportunity to make the world a better place.”

Did you notice, yes, an interesting turn? Not to improve relations with the Middle East, but to make the Middle East such that there are normal relations. Did you ask about the Middle East? No. We got another crisis and a “hot spot”.

What does Putin say? “Our approach is completely different. We proceed from the premise that all people are equal, everyone has the same rights; the rights and freedoms of one country and one people end where the rights and freedoms of another person or an entire state appear.” And who is the liberal now?

Next, we need to “suppress Putin” because of the problems he causes. What are these problems? This is a violation of “rules-based order.” The order that the United States considers the only correct one – that is, beneficial for itself. Putin speaks about this: “How can one talk about order based on rules that no one has seen? From the point of view of common sense, this is nonsense, this is some kind of nonsense. But this is beneficial for those who promote this approach. Because if no one has seen these rules, it means that those who talk about this themselves come up with these rules from case to case in a way that suits their interests. This is the colonial approach.”

Putin develops the idea of ​​colonial thinking: “colonial countries have always believed that they are first-class people,” that they “bring enlightenment” and “the benefits of civilization” to other peoples, who are considered second-class people. Therefore, “it is not surprising that today’s political elite, say, in the United States, speaks of its exclusivity.”

Right to the point, Biden confirms this thesis, answering the presenter’s question whether the United States will be able to take on the wars in Israel and Ukraine at the same time: “We are the United States, for God’s sake. The most powerful country in history, not in the world, but in the history of the world.” He doesn’t doubt it for a second: “We have to do this. And if we don’t do it, who will?”

The problem is that this approach no longer works one hundred percent, it fails. Because hegemony is ending. And not at all because of the machinations of “dictatorship” against “democracy”. As Putin says in an interview, “a multipolar world is being created on its own, in fact,” “its creation is inevitable,” and it occurs “in connection with the growing potential of many countries.”

This is what angers the collective West, this is the basis for confrontation with Russia. Although it is stupid, if you don’t like autumn, to be angry with the person who says autumn is coming.

In principle, the picture is emerging. But what next? Here it is worth paying attention to another phrase from Putin about the emergence of a multipolar world: “We can speed up this process, or someone may try to slow it down and, perhaps, will achieve some kind of reduction in the pace of construction.”

Both “acceleration” and “deceleration” – these words, when translated into reality, mean inevitable conflicts. Close, as in Ukraine, distant, as in Israel, potential, as in Taiwan. We will not have a peaceful future in the coming years, we have ended up in History.
