Summer prices for holidays in Sochi shamelessly overtook world resorts

Sochi is ready to receive summer vacationers, reports the domestic tourism industry. And the city administration adds that the Sochi beaches with brilliance passed from now on obligatory for them “federal classification for compliance with national quality standards.” We took an interest in the prices of the flagship of the Russian holiday for the high season and compared them with the closest foreign competitors.

– “This is Sochi! 35 of our 44 beaches that have successfully passed the classification have received the “Blue Flag” – this is now proudly added, voicing their rather big prices, even the landlords of the chicken coop in their own yard.

– The “Blue Flag” is awarded to beaches that meet the most stringent standards of ecology, safety and convenience for tourists, – the administration of the resort city explains.

At the same time, modestly stipulating that, compared to last year, the prices for doing nothing on the beach in Sochi increased by 10%: a sunbed under an umbrella this summer will cost 600-700 rubles. per day depending on the beach, and “bungalow” (beach tent for several people) – 4500 per day.

For those who are ready to save on a beach umbrella, relying on Panama, one sunbed will cost 400 rubles. In general, according to the host, it is more profitable to take a three-day subscription: a deck chair, an umbrella and a table – 1950 rubles. per person. There are also family five-day subscriptions for 7 thousand rubles. and weekly for 9800 rubles. The host party assures that along with prices, the quality of service has also increased: the conditions for citizens’ recreation have improved, and in general Sochi is the best of our resorts.

Of the other beach pleasures, the Sochi beaches that have confirmed their own compliance offer 10 minutes of riding a “banana” – from 500 to 2800 rubles. depending on the beach, on a catamaran for the same minutes 600 rubles, and on a jet ski – from 2 thousand rubles.

Sochi beaches now do not lag behind the world ones in terms of “near-beach” services: a classic massage, without leaving the lounger, will cost 2,500 rubles. in 45 minutes, and chocolate (with chocolate butter) at 3 thousand rubles. Just massage your neck for half an hour – 500 rubles.

But you still have to get to these oases: the cheapest one-way flight per person from the capital is 14,510 rubles, and if you are with a suitcase, then plus another 3 thousand for checked-in luggage. Sochi hotel on the first line with a swimming pool and breakfast – from 8020 per night. Only small guesthouses and the private sector are cheaper – and, of course, not right on the beach.

If we count on average, then a week of rest in Sochi in a 3-4-star hotel starts somewhere from 110-120 thousand rubles. for two – and this is without flights and transfers. And a tour to Turkey for the same amount and period can be purchased with flights, transfers already included, and you can even find an all-inclusive on a three-ruble basis.

– In Sochi, they are well aware that they have almost no competitors left, so they raise prices just like that, – the owner of the Crimean guesthouse complains. – And not by 10%, but by all 40% raised. Although this is also not bad for us in its own way, the rest will go to us. But in Adler, transport also raised prices, realizing that holidaymakers who have already arrived have no choice but to get to their resting point.

A Russian woman who recently vacationed in Bali was surprised at the prices on the beaches of Sochi. “Stunned, in Bali sunbeds cost 200-250 rubles a day with an umbrella, and for 150 rubles they also brought fresh coconut to the sunbed,” she said.

According to eyewitnesses, in Thai Phuket, which is extremely popular with tourists, a sunbed for the whole day costs only 100 baht, which, in our opinion, is 100 rubles (by the way, they don’t have sunbeds separately from an umbrella, by definition). On Vietnamese beaches, a sun lounger under an umbrella from dawn to dusk is also weaving, but local dong, which, in terms of 300 rubles a day, is half the price than in the pearl of native resorts.

If we take Phuket for comparison, then for all tourist positions (the price of accommodation, food, alcohol, beach equipment, entertainment, etc.) it is cheaper than Sochi, even a direct flight there can be found for the same 14-20 thousand rubles. as in Adler in the high season.

So, a dinner for two with wine in Phuket will cost an average of 1,402 rubles, and in Sochi, 1,732 rubles. Casual lunch for one in Phuket 175 rubles, in Sochi 425 rubles, a bottle of water in Phuket 25 rubles, in Sochi 42 rubles.

Sochi yielded to the Thai island only in the prices of public transport, taxis and gasoline, they are many times cheaper here. And in terms of the cost of presidential suites, in Sochi they are a little more affordable than royal suites in Tai hotels.
