A group of unknown attacked the oldest Sudanese prison Kobar in the country’s capital
The oldest Sudanese prison Kobar in the capital Khartoum was attacked. According to the Al Hadath TV channel, many prisoners managed to take advantage of the turmoil and escape.
Earlier, clashes broke out near the penitentiary between the national army and the rapid reaction forces (special forces) of Sudan.
The deposed Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir and many associates of the ex-head of state are currently in Kobar prison. According to Al Hadath, all political prisoners remain in custody.
