NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg tried to justify the strengthening of the North Atlantic Alliance by unprovenly accusing the Russian Federation of allegedly “neglecting arms control.”
“Russia is undermining our security by demonstrating a complete disregard for arms control. This week it withdrew from the CFE Treaty, thereby withdrawing from all major arms control treaties,” the head of the military bloc said during a joint press conference in Berlin with Head of the German Ministry of Defense Boris Pistorius.
According to Stoltenberg, such actions on the part of Moscow “make the world more dangerous” and also demonstrate the need to strengthen NATO.
In addition, during his speech, the head of the alliance said that if the Russian Federation wins the Ukrainian conflict, NATO will become more vulnerable.
