NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in an interview DPA called “the shortest way” to establish peace in Ukraine. According to him, for this it is necessary to continue military support for Kyiv.

“It may sound like a paradox, but military support for Ukraine is the shortest path to peace,” he said.

NATO Secretary General added that Russia “should understand” that it will not be able to achieve military goals in Ukraine. In his opinion, with the advent of this “understanding” peace negotiations will become possible.

Earlier, Stoltenberg said that Russia was allegedly seeking a truce in order to prepare a new offensive.

In turn, the Kremlin said earlier that the peace initiatives of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky do not take into account “current realities that cannot be ignored.”
