State Duma deputy Gusev announced his nomination for mayor of Moscow

The first deputy head of the Just Russia – For Truth (SR) faction in the State Duma, Dmitry Gusev, will run for mayor of Moscow, his candidacy was supported by the leader of the Right Russians, Sergei Mironov. Gusev told Vedomosti about this.
“Last week, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin met with the president. This means the start of the election campaign. This week, Sergei Mikhailovich Mironov announced that he would support my candidacy in the mayoral elections, and today we discussed the election program at the conference of the regional branch, ”the deputy explained.
Formally, the decision to nominate Gusev will be made in the summer, Gusev specified. The basis of the election program of the candidate from A Just Russia will include assistance to large families, including free public transport for families with children (in the future, Right Russia wants to completely free Muscovites from fares), as well as support for those mobilized.
The fact that Gusev is the main contender for the nomination for the mayor of Moscow from A Just Russia, Vedomosti reported on March 13. In addition to him, party members allegedly considered options for nominating State Duma deputy Mikhail Delyagin and co-chairman of the party Zakhar Prilepin. So far, no party has announced the nomination of a candidate for mayor of Moscow. On January 24, Vedomosti wrote that from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, most likely, State Duma deputy Vadim Kumin (he ran in 2018) will go to the mayor of the capital. Also, Sergei Mitrokhin, a Moscow City Duma deputy from Yabloko, does not exclude his participation in the elections.
