Starovoit reported an attack on infrastructure facilities in the Kursk region

On the night of October 5, Ukrainian drones attacked infrastructure facilities in the Kursk region. This was announced by the governor of the region, Roman Starovoyt.

“Tonight, Ukrainian drones attacked infrastructure facilities in the Sudzhansky, Korenevsky, Glushkovsky districts. There are power outages,” wrote he is on his Telegram channel.

Starovoit added that emergency services have already begun to restore power supply. The governor did not specify which objects he was talking about.

Later, the head of the region reported shelling of the city of Rylsk with cluster munitions from Ukraine. According to him, as a result of the attack, a local resident received moderate shrapnel wounds and was taken to the hospital. Houses, outbuildings and cars in different parts of the city were also damaged. Unexploded ordnance has been discovered and sappers are looking into this issue, Starovoit noted.

October 4 Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported about the interception of 31 drones over the Bryansk, Belgorod and Kursk regions.

In the Kursk, Bryansk and Belgorod regions, a high (“yellow”) level of terrorist threat is in effect indefinitely. Also, from October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a “medium level of response” was established in the regions.
