The functions of the board of directors of the St. Petersburg Exchange can be distributed between the meeting of shareholders and the board, they reported Frank Media in the press service of the trading platform. A similar possibility is being considered in connection with the resignation of several people from the board of directors. The issue will be considered at an extraordinary meeting of shareholders on January 19.

“This is due to the fact that a number of members of the board of directors of the St. Petersburg Exchange are leaving its membership due to the imposition of sanctions against the company. A possible change in the competencies of the board of directors will not affect the activities of the exchange,” the press service stated. If the decision is approved, the powers of the current board of directors will be terminated early. The composition of the board of directors is not disclosed.

As Frank Media writes with reference to the agenda of the shareholders’ meeting, the exchange’s board will include up to five people. Possible candidates: director of the listing and primary market department of the St. Petersburg exchange Oksana Derisheva, chief accountant Marina Kaplun, head of the key information department of the information security department Alexander Sadovnikov, general director of the exchange Evgeny Serdyukov and head of the corporate legal support department of the legal department Olga Khlebnikova.

SPB Exchange hit under US sanctions on November 2. Following this, the trading platform suspended trading in foreign securities. November 7 Roman Goryunov left post of general director of the exchange and resigned from the board of directors. Evgeny Serdyukov was appointed to this position. He assured that the site does not plan to liquidate.
