A journalist from the German publication Der Spiegel described the security measures used by the guards of President Volodymyr Zelensky in his Office on Bankova Street in Kyiv, letting visitors through.
According to the material, the journalist was required to send his ID to Zelensky’s security service in advance for verification. When he arrived at the Office, he was forced to go through several checkpoints.
There, “vigilant men with a headset in their ears” used metal detectors and thermal imaging cameras. In addition, the journalist was required to deposit watches, mobile phones and even pens.
The German edition recalls that at the beginning of the special operation, Vladimir Zelensky gave interviews between sandbags, but now he is receiving journalists in a “golden hall with inlaid parquet and silk wallpaper.”
The journalist also noted that Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, who was heading to Volodymyr Zelensky, also passed through a metal detector.
