Speaker of the Lipetsk Regional Council Dmitry Averov will become a candidate for by-elections to the State Duma

In “United Russia” summed up preliminary voting for the selection of a candidate for by-elections to the State Duma in the 114th constituency. By-elections announced after the death of the deputy and former owner of the Lebedyansky juice factory Nikolai Bortsov.

According to the results of the primaries, the party’s candidate will be the speaker of the Lipetsk Regional Council Dmitry Averov. 15,705 people voted for him, or 74% of all those participating in the primaries. 1,695 people voted for the head of the department for physical culture, sports and youth policy of the administration of Yelets, Vladimir Khabibulin, and 1,633 people voted for the director of the Center for the Development of Children’s Recreation, Nikolai Golosov. received 1,200 and 980 votes.

Preliminary voting took place from 5 to 11 June for the fourth model. It was attended by citizens who applied to the organizing committee for registration as electors. A total of 20,497 people voted.

Dmitry Averov is 49 years old. In 1992, he began working in the administration of the Lipetsk region. In 2015, Mr. Averov was elected to the Lipetsk City Council. A year later, he was appointed deputy, and then first deputy head of the administration of Lipetsk. In 2018-2021, Dmitry Averov worked as Deputy Head of Administration of the Lipetsk Region.

Before the previous elections to the State Duma, he won over the current deputy Mikhail Tarasenko. Later, Mr. Averov withdrew his candidacy from the elections to the State Duma and was elected to the regional council, where he became chairman.
