Sokolov Moscow jewelry store opens in Shanghai – Kommersant

The first Russian jewelry company entered the Chinese offline retail market under the Sokolov Moscow brand. The first of three boutiques scheduled to open in the country’s business capital, Shanghai, has already opened its doors in one of the central Grand Getaway shopping centers. Two more stores with an area of 70-150 sq. m will also open in the shopping and entertainment centers of the metropolis in mid-July. As part of the launch of the Chinese pilot project, the design team developed interior concepts for each outlet. Their assortment will include more than 1.3 thousand products belonging to six collections, selected according to the tastes of local customers. A few interesting figures: 60% of the Chinese assortment of Sokolov Moscow is represented by products made of gold of the 750th and 585th test, 40% – of silver. Artem Sokolov, the managing partner of the company, expects an average bill of $500-600 per purchase, which is somewhat lower than the leader of the local jewelry market, Chow Tai Fook ($800).
