The experiment will run for three months and end on August 31st. Previously, it was planned to start on May 15.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade expects that this will allow testing the capabilities of the marking system, as well as identification technologies. Also, the purpose of the experiment is to study the effective interaction of the authorities with market participants.
Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed a decree on the experiment on May 30. The experiment should include waters, including mineral and carbonated, containing added sugar or other sweetening or flavoring substances, fruit, nut and vegetable juices, kvass, compotes, fruit drinks, etc.
The Union of Producers of Juices, Water and Drinks (“Soyuznapitki”) opposed such an experiment. About this “Interfax” declared Union President Maxim Novikov. “We consider the start of the experiment on labeling soft drinks and juice products to be premature,” he told the agency.
