Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that he took part in remote electronic voting in the election of the head of the city. The elections began on September 8, the main voting day will take place tomorrow, September 10.
“I voted in the mayoral elections. “I did it electronically, like most Muscovites,” Mr. Sobyanin wrote in his official blog.
The day before, two more candidates for the post of mayor voted in the elections – State Duma Vice Speaker Boris Chernyshov (LDPR) and State Duma Vice Speaker Vladislav Davankov (New People). Also nominated as candidates are Leonid Zyuganov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) and Dmitry Gusev (A Just Russia – For Truth).
According to the Public Headquarters for Observing Elections in Moscow, as of this morning, September 9, over 1.6 million people took part in remote electronic voting.
In Russia, from September 8 to 10, elections of senior officials are planned in 21 constituent entities, as well as additional elections of State Duma deputies in four vacant single-mandate electoral districts.
