Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin dismissed the head of the Moscow Department of Education and Science, Alexander Molotkov. Irina Kaklyugina, who previously served as vice-governor of the Moscow region, was appointed in his place.
As they say in decree Mayor, Mr. Molotkov was relieved of his post “on his own initiative.” Mrs. Kaklyugina was appointed to the position of head of the department of a separate by decree.
Alexander Molotkov has headed the Moscow Department of Education and Science since July 2020. He has worked in the department since 2011. Before that, he worked in the banking sector, as well as in the construction of residential and social facilities in Moscow and Nizhnevartovsk.
Irina Kaklyugina has worked as Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region since October 2021. In the regional government since 2013. She worked as Minister of Social Development, Minister of Education, Deputy Minister of Health and in other positions.
