In his Telegram channel, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said that the air defense forces (PVO) shot down one of the unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) heading towards Moscow, in the Ruzsky district. There is no preliminary information about the injured people or damage.
“Tonight, an attempt was made to mass attack unmanned aerial vehicles in the Central Federal District. One of the UAVs heading towards Moscow was destroyed by air defense forces in the Ruzsky district. There were no casualties or destruction beforehand,” he wrote.
The mayor also noted that emergency services are working at the scene.\
For the second time overnight, the Carpet plan was announced at all Moscow airports, the Mash Telegram channel reports.
Delayed flights for departure and arrival at Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo and Zhukovsky airports, the report said. Plan “Carpet” is introduced when unknown or dangerous objects are spotted in the sky.
