In January, the turnover of Moscow service enterprises increased by 3%, informed Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin in the Telegram channel. The total volume of paid services provided by the capital’s enterprises reached 228 billion rubles in the first month of 2023, the mayor of the capital specified.
According to him, the largest growth was recorded in electronic and IT services. “In January 2023, 12.7 billion rubles were earned, which is 55.2% higher than in January 2022. Such high figures are associated with an increase in demand in the segment of online cinemas,” Sobyanin wrote.
The second place in terms of turnover growth is occupied by cultural institutions. According to the mayor of Moscow, their revenue for the year increased by 41% and amounted to 9.1 billion rubles. Third place went to courier delivery organizations. Their turnover increased by 23.2% to RUB 1.2 billion. According to Sobyanin, the development of online commerce in the capital contributed to this.
“Also, the development of domestic tourism led to an increase in hotel revenue by 11.9% to 4.7 billion rubles,” the capital’s mayor noted.
