Sobyanin: income from New Year’s events will be used to support the NWO

Income from holding New Year’s events in Moscow will be used to support a special military operation, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said, stressing that the decision rests with Muscovites, write “RIA News”.

The capital’s mayor called the question of whether it would be more economical not to hold events, debatable. “The income that Moscow will receive from holding the same Christmas holidays should be directed to help,” he said. Sobyanin recalled how businesses have suffered from the cancellation of various events in connection with COVID-19. He also noted that the New Year was celebrated even at the most difficult time – during the Great Patriotic War. At the same time, the mayor of Moscow said that it is necessary to think about how to congratulate the military on the front line, support their families, come to hospitals to the wounded, and also create special conditions for those who work in the military-industrial complex.

“But just to say that we will not do any of this, we will now lock ourselves in our apartments and there, almost under the covers, we will celebrate something, this is wrong. <...> It is necessary to make sure that the traditions to which they are accustomed are properly celebrated, so that people have a normal mood and that tomorrow they go to work for the good of the country and for victory,” said the mayor of the capital.

Earlier, Sobyanin invited residents of the capital to take part in a vote on the format for celebrating the New Year in Moscow this year. Such a proposal appeared on the website of the mayor of the capital. Voting takes place on the Active Citizen portal.

Sobyanin specified that the income from the celebration of the New Year would allow “many times more to be directed to support the participants in the special military operation,” as well as to save small businesses that employ “millions of people.” Instead of canceling large-scale festivities, he suggested “devoting a holiday to our soldiers and people who work tirelessly in the defense industry, build defensive structures, and restore destroyed houses.”

“I’m sure there is no need to buy new New Year’s constructions, but in general the city should be decorated and welcoming. So that Muscovites have the opportunity not only to sit at home feasts, but also take a walk around the city, chat with each other, ”Sobyanin emphasized.
