Sobyanin: BKL metro project will pay off in 2023 due to investments

The project of the Big Circle Line (BKL) of the Moscow metro will pay off in 2023 through investments, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin.
“The investments that come in the “metro corridor” provide income to the budget. In 2023, only through investments and the creation of new jobs in the “BKL corridor”, we will already pay back this project in full. And the budget of federal taxes will receive the same amount, ”said the mayor of the capital (quote by Interfax).
Earlier, Sobyanin announced the completion of the construction of the last, eastern section of the BCL. The construction of the section, which includes Klenovy Bulvar, Nagatinsky Zaton, Pechatniki and Tekstilshchiki stations, began in 2018.
In 2023, new stations will be opened in Vnukovo, Lianozovo, Dmitrovsky district and Severny. Work will also be completed on the creation of two diameters of the surface metro – MCD-3 and MCD-4, the south-eastern chord and the southern rocade will be put into operation, Sobyanin noted.
