The head of the International Boxing Association, Umar Kremlev, made a proposal to revive the parades of athletes on Red Square. The President supported the idea. That’s all, actually. It is difficult to say whether this is a personal initiative of a sports official or provided for by some kind of scenario. Be that as it may, this line of thinking is not at all surprising.
Moreover, all this looks quite natural and fully fits into the current Russian reality. The point is that for some reason our future is in the past.
What is a parade of athletes? The first theatrical sports procession took place in 1919. However, it is believed that this is a signature Stalinist project. Joseph Vissarionovich loved this kind of action and personally received it on the platform of the Mausoleum – he applauded along with his comrades. Since 1931, parades of athletes have been held annually, and they stopped in 1954 – immediately after the death of the leader of the people.
The meaning of all this is, first of all, proof of the success of victorious socialism. This is not only about promoting a healthy lifestyle. A new man was born in the USSR – spiritually and physically developed. He is ready at any moment to pick up a rifle and help the Red Army in the fight against imperialist evil for world revolution.
This is a continuation of the military parade. First – the army, then – the sports reserves. Next come the reserves of labor, children’s and youth organizations – also in support of the best and most correct system on Earth. In other words, this is a political event, not a sporting event. And not just an ordinary thing, but for the whole world to see and shudder.
This is how it involuntarily turns out that the time has come for a new person to be born again in modern Russia of the 21st century. Some may think that this sounds a little strange, since we are not creating anything new, but returning the old. Understand it as you wish – the essence does not change. But it is desirable that this process proceed from top to bottom.
Let those who consider themselves elite start with themselves. Down with bad bourgeois habits – cars, suits from unfriendly countries. Prove by personal example – go to the people, everyone to the people. This should be the relevant slogan of today.
Do you want to go back to the past? For God’s sake, just let’s drink this cup to the bottom then. Wake up at six in the morning, listen to the national anthem, exercise, harden up – and get political information.
After working in production, listen to a lecture on the international situation at the club. You need to be toughened not only physically, but also morally. On holidays – for a demonstration, on Saturday – a subbotnik, on Sunday – a resurrection day. It is not clear what to do with the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum in such a situation, since it is also being revived here. We will have to somehow combine the spirit of the 19th century with the 20th century. Nothing is impossible – everything is compatible, and anyone who objects will be banned.
