Small business proposed to the Ministry of Finance to raise the threshold for the simplified tax system and zero VAT for “human-intensive” industries

Small business asked the Ministry of Finance to include in the draft of the Main Directions of the Budget, Tax and Customs Tariff Policy for 2024-2026. a number of tax innovations for the development of entrepreneurship. Following the meeting of the public council on March 28, the president of Opora Rossii, Alexander Kalinin, sent a letter with a package of initiatives to Finance Minister Anton Siluanov (Vedomosti has the document).

The representative of the Ministry of Finance noted that all proposals of members of the public council, voiced at the meeting, will be considered. As Kalinin explained to Vedomosti, Siluanov supported part of the initiatives at a meeting of the council, including a proposal to raise the threshold for balance sheet funds for enterprises using the simplified taxation system (STS). The association asks to index it from the current 150 million to 250 million rubles. At the same time, income thresholds for the application of the simplified tax system increase annually in accordance with the deflator coefficient set by the Ministry of Economics – in 2023, the limit is set at 251.4 million rubles.
