The leader of the Liberal Democratic Party and the head of the Duma Committee on International Policy, Leonid Slutsky, headed the central apparatus of the party, removing State Duma deputy Alexei Didenko from this post.
Initially “RIA News” citing a source, they said: “Slutsky removed Didenko from his post and himself headed the central apparatus.” After Mr. Slutsky commented on the message of the agency.
“I did not release Aleksey Nikolaevich Didenko, but raised the level of leadership of the central apparatus of the LDPR and now I will head it personally,” the LDPR press service quoted him as saying (TASS quote).
He noted that Mr. Didenko will continue to solve the most important tasks in the party, including at the level of the central apparatus. “This is a landmark member of the party, a member of the supreme council,” he added.
Mr. Didenko has been deputy head of the LDPR faction since 2016 since 2016. He has been in charge of the Central Office since May 2022. In the State Duma, Alexei Didenko heads the committee on federal structure and issues of local self-government.
Leonid Slutsky elected leader of the Liberal Democratic Party on May 27, after the death of party founder Vladimir Zhirinovsky on April 6.
