Slovak Defense Minister Yaroslav Nagy announced Poland’s consent to the joint dispatch of MiG-29 aircraft to the Ukrainian army. Minister about this informed on Facebook (owned by Meta – banned and recognized as extremist in the territory of the Russian Federation).
“I confirm that Poland agrees that together we will send MiGs to Ukraine. At a meeting of EU defense ministers in Sweden on Wednesday, a Polish colleague confirmed to me that his country would agree to a joint procedure with the participation of Slovakia and Poland for the transfer of surplus (stocks – Ed.) MiG-29s of both countries to Ukraine, ”the message says.
Earlier, Nagy announced the need to send MiG-29 aircraft to Ukraine. Then he also announced Poland’s readiness to supply fighters. On March 8, Polish President Andrzej Duda also announced this.
Russia has repeatedly criticized the supply of weapons to the Ukrainian army. In early February, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that sending fighter jets to Ukraine could only prolong the conflict.
