Slovakia hands over first batch of Zuzana 2 howitzers to Ukraine

Slovakia has supplied Ukraine with a batch of Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery mounts (ACS) under the “NATO” caliber of 155 mm, Andriy Yermak, head of the office of Vladimir Zelensky, said in his Telegram channel.
“SAU Zuzana 2 reached Ukraine. 155 mm caliber…” Yermak wrote.
Information on the transfer of weapons was confirmed by the Minister of Defense of Slovakia Jaroslav Nagy in his Twitter.
“I am happy to confirm that the first four Zuzana howitzers are in the hands of the Ukrainian armed forces,” he wrote.
In June it became known that Slovakia will give Ukraine a batch of eight self-propelled artillery mounts (ACS) M-2000 Zuzana. It was noted that the party will be transferred under a commercial contract.
Western countries have been supplying weapons to Ukraine since the beginning of the military special operation. At the end of May, US President Joe Biden signed the law “On Additional Appropriations to Ukraine for 2022” $40 billion. Most of the funds are used to pay for arms supplies. On July 29, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken that the weapons that NATO is supplying to Kyiv are being used against civilians.
