Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger resigns

Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger asked President Zuzana Caputova to release him from his duties as head of government.
Heger noted that he made such a decision in connection with the resignations of several ministers of his interim cabinet, including foreign ministers.
Heger’s meeting with Chaputova will take place later on Sunday. After that, the decision of the President of Slovakia can be officially announced.
Heger was to remain at the head of the government until early elections were held on 30 September.
