Summer is coming to an end. We are slowly returning to a more domestic lifestyle. And I have news of fashionable import substitution for you. The Russian luxury brand of slippers and accessories Razgulyaev Blagonravova, by the way, a participant in the shows of the recent Moscow Fashion Week, has released a new collection “Bear” in collaboration with one of the brightest contemporary artists Andrei Bartenev.
The collection also includes street shoes: mules, loafers and clogs. The models are made in five colors and decorated with Andrey Barteniev’s handmade bears. “Bears know where the honey is hidden. Therefore, my slippers will lead you to the sweet life in any case, ”the artist is sure.
“Andrey Barteniev is by far the brightest and most eccentric personality I have had the honor to work with,” commented the brand’s designer Mila Razgulyaeva-Blagonravova, “He has been one of the most recognizable contemporary Russian artists for many years: his bold experiments with form and the color cannot be confused with anyone, it is unique and, as always, magnificent.
The main colors of the collection are pink, blue, black, white and beige. The pattern is printed on leather and laminated. The materials used are suede, leather and velvet.
The Razgulyaev Blagonravova brand was founded 15 years ago in St. Petersburg under rather amusing circumstances. The grandparents of the founder, Lyudmila Razgluyaeva-Blagonravova, had a habit of giving each other slippers of their own making. Thus, the family accumulated a huge collection of original shoes, which Lyudmila inherited. This is how the idea to produce unique house slippers was born. By the way, last year the brand released a limited collection together with the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts. As inspiration, they chose Degas’ Blue Dancers, Cezanne’s Pierre and Harlequin, and Are You Jealous? Gauguin.
