As a result of falling debris from a drone that was shot down by air defense systems in Rostov-on-Don, six houses and one car were damaged, said the head of the city administration, Alexey Logvinenko.

Air defense systems, as Logvinenko recalled, shot down a drone at 11:25 in the airspace over Rostov, fragments of the drone fell on the territory of the city. There were no dead or injured, he added.

“Fragments of the UAV hit the roofs of 18 private households in the Pervomaisky district. As a result, the roofs of six houses and one car suffered minor damage,” wrote in his Telegram channel, the head of the city.

He added that authorities are doing “everything necessary” to eliminate the consequences of the incident. About the activation of air defense in the region and the defeat of an “air target” earlier than October 29 reported Governor of the Rostov region Vasily Golubev.

In October, Golubev reported several times about the work of air defense in the region, and on the night of September 7, two drones were shot down in Rostov-on-Don – outside the city in the western part of Rostov and in the center. As a result of the fall of one of them, one person was injured, and several cars and buildings were also damaged. A state of emergency was introduced in the city due to the incident.

Since October 19, 2022, by decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin, a medium level of response has been established in the Rostov region. The same regime operates in seven more regions – Crimea, Sevastopol, Krasnodar Territory, Kursk, Voronezh, Belgorod and Bryansk regions.
