According to the newspaper Svoboda Press, military observer Oleksandr Sitnikov said that, according to data as of April 9, Russian troops control 75% of the territory of Artyomovsk (Ukrainian name Bakhmut).
Only in the western part of the city, according to him, there are “gray zones”.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine hold no more than 10-15% of the city’s development … The Ukrainian servicemen who remained in Artemivsk have a chance to leave at night along a dirt road from Khromovo to Chasov Yar, but it will be very difficult to do this because of the work of Russian snipers,” Sitnikov said.
