The Stockholm International Peace Research Institute has published an annual reportwhich assesses the dynamics of changes in the volume of nuclear weapons in the nuclear powers.

According to SIPRI analysts, global nuclear arsenals are growing as states continue to modernize.

The report analyzed the performance of nine nuclear powers: the US, Russia, Britain, France, China, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea.

“The number of nuclear weapons currently deployed as part of the operational forces has increased to 3825 units compared to 3720 units last year,” experts say.

At the same time, about 2,000 of them, almost all of which belonged to Russia or the United States, were on high alert.
