Expert Lukin: the United States began a unilateral cold war against China
The US launched a one-sided cold war against China in an attempt to defeat the country without the use of weapons. Such a statement in conversation with “Lentoy.ru” was voiced by the scientific director of the Institute of China and Modern Asia of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Lukin.
The head of the Department of International Relations at the National Research University Higher School of Economics noted that attempts are being made in Washington to stifle the Chinese economy and stop their technological development. According to him, the United States will do this with the help of trade tariffs and severe restrictions on the export of chips to China. However, Lukin believes that this will not be possible, since China has a huge market and it is impossible to isolate it from the world.
The expert stressed that Beijing has no desire to wage a cold war with Washington, China wants to “leave them alone.” Lukin said that in China they are set for a constructive dialogue, since they believe that in peacetime they will be able to overtake the United States in development.
