Since February 24, 2022, the allies have allocated about €170 billion to help Ukraine, follows from data Kiel Institute of World Economy, which drew the attention of the Ukrainian Ministry for the Reintegration of Uncontrolled Territories. The specified amount includes military, humanitarian, financial assistance from different countries, as well as support from international financial organizations.
According to the Ukraine Support Tracker, 40 countries provide assistance to Ukraine, as well as European institutions, the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank. The European Union allocated almost €62 billion, the USA – €71 billion. Financial institutions provided €13 billion, other countries (including the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan) – €23 billion.
Half of the allocated funds are financial assistance, another 40% is military. The rest was occupied by humanitarian aid. The United States provided the largest military support to Ukraine – € 43.2 billion. Last week, Washington announced sending another $1.3 billion in aid to rebuild Ukraine.
On June 22, Ukrainian Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said the country needs $110 billion in foreign aid by 2027 to recover. Shortly before this, the European Commission proposed to send about €50 billion of financial assistance until that time.
