Siluanov said that in Russia there will no longer be families with incomes below the subsistence level

Support measures taken by the state will ensure the income of needy families is not below the subsistence level, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said.

“All those families that need support and where previously the income per family member was below the subsistence level, now there will be no such families. All of them will receive appropriate support from the state,” said Siluanov (quote according to TASS).

According to the minister, this form of support will also be provided in the future. The head of the Ministry of Finance also recalled that the government and President Vladimir Putin decided to support needy Russians first of all, so the size of pensions, the cost of living and the minimum wage were increased.

Plans to introduce a universal allowance for pregnant women and families with children at the end of September announced Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. At the same time, the Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Russia, Anton Kotyakov, announced that 1.7 trillion rubles would be allocated for these purposes. from federal and regional budgets.

Payout amount will be on average from 7,000 to 14,000 rubles. It is clarified that the amount of the allowance for children will depend on the financial situation of the family and will be 50%, 75% or 100% of the child subsistence minimum in the region. In addition, families with incomes below one subsistence minimum per person will be able to arrange a monthly payment at the expense of maternity capital, regardless of the number of children.
