Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov believes that the budget for the upcoming three-year period will be the most difficult in his career.

“I think that the budget for the upcoming three-year period will be the most difficult in my professional career,” Siluanov said on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel in a film dedicated to the 220th anniversary of the Russian Ministry of Finance (quoted from TASS).

He noted that when preparing the draft budget for 2023-2025, it includes funds for achieving Russia’s technological sovereignty.

“… The issue of replenishing the competencies that we received from abroad is, of course, a long enough program, but without it we cannot ensure technological sovereignty. All this also requires money, and we are seeking such money both in the current year, and when preparing the budget for the upcoming three-year period, we are also laying it down,” Siluanov said.

On September 8, the head of the Ministry of Finance at the plenary session of the Moscow Financial Forum named conditions, the fulfillment of which will allow the country to achieve financial sovereignty.
