Siluanov called the conditions for achieving financial sovereignty

At the plenary session of the Moscow Financial Forum, Anton Siluanov, the head of the Russian Ministry of Finance, called the conditions, the fulfillment of which will allow the country to achieve financial sovereignty.

What is financial sovereignty? This is living within your means and not walking with an outstretched hand – the first. Because we have gone through many periods in history when we have only one hope, “whether they will give us a loan or not,” he explained.

According to Siluanov, the topic of financial sovereignty is “very important” for Russia. The head of the department stressed that although Russia’s allies are the army and navy, it is “not good” without a financial component.

Earlier today, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that a responsible financial policy made it possible to neutralize the effects of anti-Russian sanctions and plan the necessary decisions to support the economy and the population in the long term.

The day before, Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a plenary meeting of the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF), said that the main acquisition of the special military operation in Ukraine was the sovereignty of Russia, which underlies modern development. According to Putin, as a result of what is happening, a strong polarization has occurred, which, however, will only benefit, because “everything that is unnecessary, harmful, everything that prevents you from moving forward will be rejected.”

According to the president, the peak of the difficult economic situation in Russia has been passed, and now the situation has begun to normalize. He noted that inflation began to decline – at the end of the year it could drop to 12%, and unemployment is at a minimum.
